Join Missoula Public Library and Humanities Montana for an evening with author Nicholas Triolo, whose memoir The Way Around: Walking a Reimagined Path was selected as Montana’s 2026 Great Reads from Great Places adult title. The event also celebrates the release of the paperback edition of The Way Around. Triolo will read from the book and join us for a conversation about his story, his writing, and his enthusiastic love of libraries, followed by time for audience questions and conversation. Shakespeare & Co. will be on hand to sell books. Presented in partnership with Humanities Montana and the Montana Center for the Book, this event is part of One Book Montana, a statewide reading program inviting Montanans to read, reflect, and connect through a shared book. The Way Around was selected to represent Montana in the Library of Congress’s Great Reads from Great Places program, which celebrates the unique literary heritage of each state and territory. One Book Montana builds on that selection by bringing the conversation home, creating opportunities for readers across the state to explore the book and the ideas it raises together. About the Author Nicholas Triolo is an author, editor, and educator living in Missoula, Montana. He has worked in publishing for more than a decade and has taught place-based writing with the University of Montana, Wild Rockies Field Institute, Missoula Writing Collaborative, and others. His writing has appeared in Orion, Emergence, Outside, Terrain.o
