Red Ants Pants Music Festival is a four-day, ticketed July gathering in a cow pasture south of White Sulphur Springs, with camping and more than 30 bands. Founded in 2011, its bookings span country, roots, Americana, and bluegrass. Proceeds support the Red Ants Pants Foundation’s work in women’s leadership, family farms, and rural communities.

Getting there

About a 3-hour drive from Missoula. The festival is set on a cow pasture south of White Sulphur Springs, Montana.

Camping

On-site camping is offered, with the campground opening the Wednesday before the festival at 4 p.m. A 5-day camping pass was $55 per person. A Generator-Free Zone is part of the campground layout, and campground passes were available for $55 cash purchase at the campground gate.

Tickets

For the 2026 edition, the weekend (3-day) pass was $215 in advance, VIP weekend (3-day) was $695, single-day passes were $90, and camping (5-day) was $55 per person. Children 12 and under were free with an accompanying adult, and active duty military received discounts. Tickets were sold through Eventgroove, with gate pricing going into effect the Monday before the festival. Hard tickets were also available at the Red Ants Pants store in White Sulphur Springs (cash or check only). All purchases were final and non-refundable, and the event ran rain or shine.

Lineup notes

Headliners for 2026 included Brandy Clark, Molly Tuttle, Old 97's, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Sara Evans, and Shinyribs. The festival featured more than 30 acts across main and side stages. A free Thursday street dance in downtown White Sulphur Springs, with Tylor & The Train Robbers headlining and Amanda Stewart opening, kicked off the weekend.

What to expect

Four days of live music spanning country, roots, Americana, and bluegrass, set on a working cattle ranch. Outside alcohol is not permitted on the festival grounds. Volunteers can earn a free pass by completing shifts, and a complimentary side-by-side shuttle is available for those needing assistance.

Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder

Kentucky

Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder is the country and bluegrass band that plays with American singer Ricky Skaggs. Skaggs leads the group on mandolin and vocals. The band has won the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Instrumental Group of the Year award multiple times and seven Grammy Awards. In July 2026, Skaggs is sharing the new single “Say a Prayer.”
