Montana Folk Festival is a free, three-day outdoor event in uptown Butte each July, with multiple stages; early editions drew an estimated 165,000 visitors. Its programming presents traditional music and dance from Montana, the United States, and other countries. A Family Area, food vendors, traditional art markets, and folklife demonstrations and workshops fill out the weekend. Camping is not offered.
