Liz Phair

Liz Phair is an American singer-songwriter and musician from New Haven, Connecticut. Raised primarily in Chicago, she began self-releasing audio cassettes as Girly-Sound after graduating from Oberlin College in 1990 and returning to Chicago from San Francisco; the tapes led to a recording contract with Matador Records.
