We are international touring artists who perform traditional and original music from the Celtic lands, Medieval & Renaissance Europe, the Americas and India on over 30 instruments including the Hammered & Mountain Dulcimers, Pennywhistles, Recorders, Medieval and Renaissance woodwinds, Mandolins, North Indian Sitar, Psaltery, Charango, Banjo, Guitar, Ukulele, World Percussion and vocals. Four Shillings Short is a husband-and-wife duo featuring Aodh Og O’Tuama of Cork, Ireland, and Christy Martin of California. Performing together since 1995, they blend Celtic and American folk with Indian raga and other ethnic idioms, using a wide range of traditional instruments. The independent folk artists tour the United States and Ireland and have released 13 recordings.
